Utrecht, 4 June 2024 – Withthegrid, a cleantech company providing monitoring and flexibility solutions for the energy industry, announces the expansion of its advisory board. This move aims to support the company as it enters a new phase of growth.
The advisory board will now include two new members with extensive experience in the energy sector. They will join Jeffrey Williams from ROM Utrecht and Rajat Khare from Boundary Holding:
Sophie Dingenen
Lawyer and partner at Bird & Bird, Sophie leads their International Renewables Group and Corporate PPA Group. With over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Sophie has advised asset owners, offtakers, and financial institutions on all aspects of the energy market. She also advises on innovative structures opening up the market, such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). About joining the advisory board, Sophie stated:
“As the energy transition is currently held back by limited transport capacity and grid congestion, Withthegrid has developed an exciting and tailormade solution meeting the newly designed transport agreements (to be) rolled out by the grid operators.”
René Raaijmakers
Experienced entrepreneur and a board member in large energy and maritime corporations, René recently built and led the sustainable energy company Groendus. René commented about his new role:
“The energy transition is gaining momentum and the future energy system will be highly digitalized. Withthegrid’s data driven solutions will play an essential role in this new energy system and their independent positioning is unique. The coming years until 2030 will be crucial to deliver on the European ambitions, hence, I’m excited to support Withthegrid on their journey to become a key cleantech solution provider in this market.”
