Energy hub

Collaborative energy hub unlocks grid capacity

Location The Netherlands

Pannenweg II is a business park in Nederweert, Netherlands. It innovates against grid congestion via an energy hub.

Context

  • Severe grid congestion; local businesses faced a total halt on expansion due to a “full” regional grid. Thus, companies faced heavy fines for EV fleet charging and were forced to shut off solar panels.
  • Group Transport Agreement (GTO): Pooled 14 companies’ individual grid rights into one collective capacity “bucket.”

Solution

  • Installed a Teleport at every site to monitor real-time telemetry and provide a secure local control interface.
